MarketPress from WPMUdev
I’ve used a HANDFUL of different plugins, got ridiculously excited about one (which I’m still not giving up on, but more on that in another post) and have FINALLY found a solution that is TRULY made for easy use and it LOOKS good too!
That of course would be MarketPress!
I had another plugin installed for a client, it was working fine and we had even installed a few add-on’s, when all of the sudden it started having issues. I think the issues came with the latest update for the plugin, but I’m not totally sure. After paying for support (the plugin is free- I’m SO not complaining- and it’s got some serious sass on the design side of things) I just needed to find something that would work NOW! (Ever been there?)
What was uber cool was that MarketPress imported the products from the previous plugin (even though I had deactivated it and that wasn’t an option in the import section of MarketPress!) I had saved them first, just to be safe (there were only 4 products, so itMarketPress wouldn’t have been the end of the world if I had to recreate them, but why re-invent the wheel?)
The BEST way to show you how FRIGGIN awesomely easy MarketPress is of course a video! And after having done this on a client site I knew instantly that I was going to install this as my WordPress eCommerce solution on The WordPress Chick.
So that’s what this video is…. my installation of MarketPress on this site (well, technically it’s not the installation because I wanted to keep the video under 15 minutes. But I walk you through the settings… in LESS than 15 minutes! That’s how easy this is!).
